Monkton Park - Create Learning School
Monkton Park Primary School in Chippenham, Wiltshire celebrated being the first Create Learning School in the South West after a successful launch on Thursday 8th June.
The launch saw a collection of School Governors, Headteachers, teachers and local PE and sports organisations come together to watch real PE, real gym and real play lessons in action. Young Leaders led the groups around the school talking proudly about their achievements and progress and explaining why their PE lessons are different.
Deputy Headteacher, Jan Douglas, spoke in depth about Monkton Park’s experience and explained exactly how the multi-abilities have been embedded throughout the school and have helped transform the attitudes, progress and learning of pupils, teachers and parents within their school community.
Headteacher, John Barlow commented: “The development of children’s learning behaviours is just brilliant.”
