Badgers Visit Hooke Court 2013

Last week Year 6 travelled to Hooke Court in Wales for their residential.
As soon as we got on the bus we were all shivering with excitement, as we knew we would have an amazing time.  First we met our instructor, Chris, then we settled in and finally we were out and about.

First we did a treasure trail, where we had to go around the village looking for items that Chris had picked.  Secondly we did orienteering at the historical castle.  Finally we had dinner and a night walk to the castle.
Every night we had a shower, got ready for bed and met in the common room for hot chocolate, we also played card games and chatted.
The other activities were rock pooling in the pouring rain, coasteering, getting stuck in thick, oozy mud, shell art, beach art and a long six mile walk.  On our last night, after dinner, we headed down to the beach for a camp fire and a talent show.
I think at the end of the trip we can safely say it was the highlight of our year.
