Foxes Visit The Ashmoleam Museum

On Friday 20th September Year 5 class visited the Ashmolean Museum, in Oxford. First we learnt about Greek casts, when we got to the top of a staircase we found a cast of the God Apollo. Then the class went to see an enormous pot which could hold up 550 litres! After that we all looked at the big model of the Acropolis with the temple Parthenon.

Next we split into three groups to match objects to there names. When every group had completed the task, each group had a mystery object to look at and try to guess what it was. Every one found out what every thing was at the end of the session, nothing was what anyone expected them to be!

Finally, before we set off for lunch there was an exciting quiz waiting for us all! But when everyone had finished it, it was time for some lunch and a journey back to school. It was a brilliant day!
